Cool photos!

Here is a collection of really awesome photos, using the moon (and sun?) as props.  I like.

Guess which one I like best...

Tabloid Prodigy has a photo list of celebrities who resemble famous statues.  It's clever.

Dancers are people too!

I missed this on Dancing With The Stars this season, and I'm pissed!  Luckily for me (and you), YouTube has got the gold again, providing us with this important public service announcement (featuring a cute Derek Hough, a hot Mark Ballas, and a stunningly sexy Tony Dovolani).

Is Google Making Us Dumber?

It's a simple question, and this website has the answer.

Haha.  Another example of how you can find anything on the internet.

I can't wait!!!

How fabulous!  This has to be the fantasy of millions of gays out there...

Christina Aguilera, already signed on to star in her first feature film, Burlesque, will have Cher as a costar!  That's right, Xtina and Cher in the same movie, and it's about burlesque dancing.  Pretty great, right?

Not too many other details exist, but the movie should be released sometime in 2011.  I can't wait!

And the winner is...

There's such great TV on these days!  Last night I got to watch the final competition round of American Idol (and cheer my boyfriend Adam towards victory), and then the finale event of Dancing With The Stars, which included two stellar performances by Lady Gaga.

Anyhow, Gold-medalist Shawn Johnson ended up winning the Mirror Ball Trophy, which came as a bit of a surprise to me.  I was initially expecting Melissa Rycroft (the Bachelor's send-off) to come out on top, but, after taking it all into consideration, decided that Gilles Marini (the naked guy from the Sex and the City movie) would be the winner.  It's just another example of America not quite making the best decision...  Oh well.

Below is one of my favorite clips from the season of Dancing With The Stars, and it doesn't even include any of the "stars"!  It's from last week's show--America got to "Design a Dance" and pick the dancers, the style of dance, and even design the outfits.  It's fierce.  My favorite part is when Lacey and Julianne do a fierce turn sequence.  I didn't know Julianne could dance like that!

Crush of the Day: Jason Statham

Netflix delivered a gem tonight: Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.  It's a great British heist film, complete with lots of foul language, booze, cigarettes, blood, guts, and Jason Statham.

Statham has been in the tabloids and gossip blogs lately for his role in The Transporter films; the third installment was released last year and people finally started noticing what a hunk he is.  He has appeared in other Guy Ritchie directed films including Snatch (one of my personal favorites) and Revolver.  Also, there are rumors circulating that he and Ritchie are collaborating on a top-secret movie-musical...  That sounds interesting.  Before acting, Statham modeled for French Connection.

Anyhow, Jason Statham completely deserves the success he is receiving; not only is he insanely attractive, but he's a damn good actor.

How gay is YOUR vodka?

Absolut vodka, a long-time supporter of equality and gay rights, has a limited edition rainbow bottle full of their good stuff.  It's part of their "Colors" campaign.

I don't really drink Absolut (I'm a Ketel One guy), I just think it's a pretty bottle.

Anyhow, on the "Colors" website, there are lots of fun drink recipes, some inspirational "showing your true, Absolut colors" stories, and other stuff.

Do you *heart* watermelons?

Leave it to the Japanese to figure out how to produce heart-shaped watermelons.  At $160 (US) a pop, I hope they taste as sweet as they look.

Amy Winehouse, P.I.T.!

As we used to say in college, Amy Winehouse needs to P.I.T. (Pull It Together)!!!

At the recent St. Lucia Jazz Festival, Amy hit the stage in a much-anticipated comeback performance.  Check out the disaster:

Here are my thoughts about the clip, in the order they entered my brain:

1. What is she doing?
2. Fierce shoes, at least she isn't falling over.
3. What are the backup singers and band guys thinking?
4. Did she rehearse?
5. Does she even know what song she's singing?

Funny Blog Alert: Awkward Family Photos

Remember when you were a kid and your parents made you get family portraits taken, either for posterity's sake or for a holiday greeting?  Or maybe you are still forced to do this archaic activity like I am?  I remember one particular Christmas card photo of me and my family; it was taken in front of the fireplace of our new cottage in Michigan, and we were all wearing these amazing colored shirts and jeans.  My mom's outfit was the best: a black turtleneck with a blazer made up of large pieces of neon pink, yellow, green, and orange fabric.  Amazing.

Anyhow, there's a funny blog that is compiling these truly awkward photos.  Check out a few gems below...

How much sugar do YOU consume each day?

Here's an interesting and informative new blog: SugarStacks.  The authors take a look at some of the foods we eat and show us in simple, graphic terms how much sugar is in them.

It makes me happy that I don't eat that much ice cream...

Introducing Ketchup Cake

In honor of 100 years as Canada's favorite accompaniment to burgers and fries, Heinz is introducing a few new recipes, including one for ketchup cake.  Yes, cake.

Check it out!  It kind of looks good, don't you think?

Who let this happen?

And so close to me???

Denise Richards sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" at the Cubs game today.  Well, "sang" might not really be the best word to describe it, but it was something.

Maybe she was drunk.  I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

Was anyone there to see/hear it live???

A great new blog!

It's called Hot Guys In Flu Masks.  I think it's so perfect for all that is going on the world right now.

Oddly enough, I just posted a pic in a recent entry of the guy who this blogger began his blog with!  We both have good taste, I suppose.  He has been featured on CNN, Google, etc. in recent days as the first confirmed case of swine flu in Spain (I think).

Need plans for Sunday?

...then tune in to the Hallmark channel for a 19-hour tribute to the late, great Bea Arthur.  A Golden Girls marathon is in the works, and I guarantee it will be fierce.

Libby is in TC this weekend, so I have a feeling I will be alone watching that great lady (and a few other great ladies)...
