Roast of Trump Highlight

I watched the Comedy Central roast of Donald Trump last night (while enjoying a fierce bottle of wine, 2008 Caymus Special Selection) and I was thoroughly entertained. The comedians were hilarious, and The Donald really took it well.

The best part of the roast, however, was The Situation. He completely bombed. I mean, I'm not the world's best public speaker by any means, and often I think I am funnier than I really am. But this guy blew it!!!

The year is 1994. The hosts on The Today Show don't know what "@" means, or what the internet is.

In 1994, I was in 4th grade. I played Oregon Trail during indoor recess on the two-tone screen of some obscure Apple computer. All I wanted was to safely cross the river. I wasn't thinking about internets, emails, blogs, live feeds, or whatever.

So crazy to think how far technology has come in 16 years.

Wikipedia has EVERYTHING

Seriously.

Reading Wikipedia articles is one of my favorite pastimes, and it never ceases to amaze me how much information is out there. Some of my favorite topics to read about are airplanes and airlines, the British Royal Family, Orders of Precedence, natural disasters, and small towns that I've been to.

Last night, while reading about the first topic mentioned above, I stumbled upon this fascinating image. It shows basically all of the commercial airline routes for the entire world. Who sat down to figure that out and make a map of it? I'm not sure, but it's pretty awesome.

Olympic Fever / Crush Of The Day

The Olympics are great, aren't they? The opening ceremony, now almost a week ago, was truly moving, especially due to the sad news of the fallen Georgian luger. Anyhow, since then, the Olympics have lived up to their hype, providing all of the drama, excitement, and athleticism we could hope for.

Oh, and did I mention the hot guys? Wow. If I had more time (I'm on vacation so I don't really have time), I'd go over all of the Olympic Hotties and profile them. Well, I'd least show some pictures.

But now I only have time for one, Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek. How adorable is this guy? Sure, he doesn't have the quadruple jumps like Pleshenko, but he also looks like a real human being. And he's dating Nastia Liukin, a gymnastics chick who knows a thing or two about Olympic gold. I'm sure that they have a great relationship; they probably spend hours upon hours talking about how to get "maximum air" or fly around like butterflies. Haha. Once he gets bored with her, I'm sure he'll move on to me.

Anyhow, check out Evan. He's adorable.

Hit It Or Quit It: The Jersey Shore Boys

First of all, if you haven't watched Jersey Shore, you really should check it out. I was skeptical at first, that's true, but after one episode I was hooked. It's amazing! The girls are trashy, the fights are real, the booze is strong, and the guys...well...I don't know if they're hot or not. I mean, they're all total scumbags, really, and they're not at all my type, but I still have to ask the age-old question. The boys of Jersey Shore (Pauly D., Mike "The Situation," Ronnie, and Vinny): hit it or quit it?

Good old Mariah is at it again! She recently received a major award for her role in the movie Precious, and instead of accepting the accolade with grace and class, Ms. Carey boozed it up and stumbled her way through an attempt at an acceptance speech.

Good for a quick laugh. I mean, let's be honest: if I was as fierce as MC and had money to throw around and awards shows to go to, I'd have probably done the same thing.

What's the worst part of this story?

A. A four-year old boy dressed up in a girl's brown dress.

B. A four-year old boy wandering the streets in the middle of the night.

C. The same four-year old stealing Christmas presents from someone's home.

D. The four-year old drinking a Bud Light while committing the above acts.
