Hand Models are nuts.

Especially this one who basically tells Katie Couric that her hands are ugly and stupid.

What's the worst part of this story?

A. A four-year old boy dressed up in a girl's brown dress.
B. A four-year old boy wandering the streets in the middle of the night.
C. The same four-year old stealing Christmas presents from someone's home.
D. The four-year old drinking a Bud Light while committing the above acts.

If you chose D, you're right! Everyone knows that Bud Light has GHT, while Miller Lite does not. What was this kid thinking???

Photo of the Day

At last night's Royal Variety Performance in Blackpool, England, The Queen her self showed up to catch some of the performances and meet some of the stars. Notable American celebrities who presented themselves to The Queen included Whoppi Goldberg, Bette Midler, Lindsay Lohan and Lady Gaga. See below.

Interesting photo, eh?

Contenders for World's Dumbest Criminals

The two idiots pictured above allegedly committed a robbery in some small town in Iowa. But, instead of wearing the go-to ski mask or stocking over their faces, they brilliantly decided to cover their mugs with permanent markers. Needless to say, when they were pulled over, they had guilt written all over their faces.

Don't eat a Hershey's bar any time soon...

What a way to go!

A young man recently fell to his death while at work in New Jersey, which is extremely sad and tragic... He was working at a chocolate factory and fell into a vat containing melted chocolate, which is extremely strange and wild.

A great new blog!

It's called Hot Guys In Flu Masks.  I think it's so perfect for all that is going on the world right now.

Oddly enough, I just posted a pic in a recent entry of the guy who this blogger began his blog with!  We both have good taste, I suppose.  He has been featured on CNN, Google, etc. in recent days as the first confirmed case of swine flu in Spain (I think).

Swine Flu FAQs

CNN has answered our most curious questions regarding the swine flu epidemic here.

Kind of scary stuff, to be honest.

I guess this is just another reason why I'd rather go to Hawai'i than Mexico...

PS--The image above is just one of the results Google shows when one searches "swine flu."  A cute doctor, no?

On a serious note...

This developing story is tragic.  An 11 year old boy recently committed suicide because he was constantly bullied by kids at school for allegedly being gay.  An 11 year old

When I was that age, yes, I was bullied and called horrible names by kids I went to school with... It's a tragedy of our culture that the go-to name for making fun of kids who are different is "gay." I remember days when I would pray for indoor recess so that I didn't have to go out to the playground and face the older kids for fear that they would taunt and tease me...  It was quite a sad way to grow up, but I now know that it made me stronger and helped to build me into the person I am today.

That being said, it makes me so SO sad that some young children just can't escape the pain and discouragement that being bullied brings them...

Also, I still find it shocking that, when a young boy is bullied, the antagonists often jump right to the conclusion that he is "gay" or "a fag."  Not only that, but what 11 year olds really comprehend the notion of sexuality, anyways?  I find it hard to believe that kids who don't understand long division can have such a complex ideological stereotypes against kids that they find different...

That's all for now.

If you're a nervous flyer...

...then please don't watch the video below.

A Lufthansa Airbus A320 airliner came *this* close to having a tragic landing in storm-force winds, but thanks to a talented pilot, the plane ended up landing safely.  Truly amazing footage...

April 15th is Tax Day...

It's everyone's favorite day: Tax Day!  Ugh.  Fortunately I had the foresight to do mine (by myself!) about a month ago, but I waited 'till today to slip my check in the mail.  No fun.

Here's the IRS' web site with lots of information, including last minute tips for those of you who are scrambling to get your taxes done.

All across the country so-called "tea party" protests are being held, mostly in opposition to President Obama's bailout plan...  CNN has that story here.

Many democrats call this day Patriots' Day--read Paul Begala's opinion here.  Freedom isn't free!

A sad day for Andy Roddick lovers...

The NY Post is reporting that tennis star Andy Roddick and his swimsuit model girlfriend Brooklyn Decker are getting hitched this weekend in Austin, TX.  They met a few years back when, after seeing her in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition, Andy had his agent get in touch with hers.  Wouldn't it be nice to just have your agent call someone else's agent when you wanted a date with him/her?  What a life.

Anyhow, I'm crushed.

They are a pretty attractive couple, though.  Maybe getting married will give Andy a playing boost and he can win some tournaments again...

The Obamas Do Europe

The President and First lady were in Europe last week, attending all kinds of important meetings and taking care of official stuff. However, the popular media seemed more transfixed on Mrs. Obama's wardrobe than the outcome of the G-20 summit.  And it's no wonder!  She looked fierce meeting with French President Sarkozy and his supermodel wife, the Queen of England, and other high ranking political officials and fashionistas as well.

CNN put together a nice slideshow highlighting Mrs. Obama's 13 best looks while overseas.

Another reason why IKEA is fierce.

The most recent IKEA catalogue and ad campaign is showcasing what it means to be a family in this day and age, complete with same-sex couples.  The slogan is this: "Family life is changing...  Welcome to the new era."

After the release of the catalogue, a group of Catholic activists (dare I say extremists?) began a letter-writing campaign to protest the inclusion of a homosexual couple in the company's publications.  In a quick, skillful, well-worded, and applaudable response, IKEA had this to say: "Homosexuality is one of the essential elements of living in contemporary society."

Congrats to IKEA for standing up for the truth and what they believe in.

Damn Yankees?

Really?  I mean, I understand the appeal of movie musicals, trust me, I do.  I love them.  Give me Dreamgirls or High School Musical and a bottle of wine and I'm set for the night.  However, there comes a point where it's just going overboard, and the upcoming remake of Damn Yankees just might be that point.

Starring Jim Carrey and Jake Gyllenhaal, Damn Yankees is being produced by New Line Cinema.

I mean, I guess I'm pretty excited to see Jake in a musical...  Can he sing?  Can he dance?  Only time will tell.

Do you want pot with that?

A McDonald's employee in Maryland was recently arrested after undercover cops bought pot from him at the drive-thru window. How amazing is that?  There had been reports that the man had been selling drugs at work for quite some time, so police finally went in for the kill.

I don't know about you, but I'm lovin' it.

Perhaps you're one of the McDonald's Dealer's recent clients and you've gotten home only to realize that, since Michael Phelps isn't actually your friend, you don't have a bong.  Never fear, for there's a pictorial list of ideas for homemade smoking devices.  Example below.

Homecoming Drag Queen

Students at George Mason University recently elected their homecoming queen--and it's a guy!

Reann Ballslee, a drag queen slash student, was honored by her peers with the crown.

Two questions:

1. Why is there a homecoming in February?
2. Who was elected homecoming king?

Work it out, girl, you're fierce.

They have prostitutes in Vegas?

The Las Vegas Review Journal has published a list of known prostitutes who have been arrested in recent years in the area... Complete with pictures, no less.  The ladies' are facing tough crackdowns in Vegas; since the story was released, 13 have been arrested.

It's an interesting commentary on the time I think; I mean, it seems pretty sadistic in a sense to bring insult to their injury, but then again, I suppose it's public record anyways.  I don't know exactly how I feel about it.

Truly a babydaddy...

This story out of the UK is alarming, especially when you see the photos.

A 13 year old boy and his 15 year old girlfriend recently gave birth to a healthy baby girl.  Crazy, right?  13 and 15.  Wow.  They both still live at home and are supported by their parents (obviously), and the new challenge of having their own child has not really hit them yet.

Crazy.

Facebook Warnings...

Facebook is celebrating its fifth birthday, but they're also dealing with some major drama. Hackers have infiltrated the site, and lately they've been extorting thousands of dollars from people just like you and me.

In one recent case, someone's status was changed to "NEED[S} HELP IMMEDIATELY," and, after a friend was talking to a hacker, he wired over $1000 to the impostor.  Crazy.  That's a lot of money.

Basically, be careful.  And don't wire you friends $1000.

Michael Phelps actually looks hot in this pic...

...too bad he got in trouble for it.
Michael Phelps, whom I have never thought was attractive (except for his body), was recently snapped partying a little hard.  It's pretty funny how big of a deal this picture is, I mean, it's just a (post-) college guy taking a fierce bong hit, right?  Who hasn't done that?
