Team Jacob or Team Edward?

Just for the record, I'm Team Jacob all the way. Robert Pattinson, though very attractive in a brooding, sexy, I'll suck your blood way, just doesn't hold a flame to Taylor Lautner.

At Bandera, the tablecloths are covered with a new piece of butcher paper for each party that's seated. Whenever there are kids at the tables, we give them some crayons so they can draw or do whatever kids do on the tables. The other night, one little girl left the following note on her table paper:

"Team Jacob! Because real men don't glitter."

What a hilarious statement! I did some research on this whole "real men don't glitter thing," and found out that there are not only websites dedicated to the Jacob/Edward debate, but you can also get lipgloss, t-shirts, and coffee mugs, among other things.

Hit It Or Quit It / Crush of the Day / Jailbait: Taylor Lautner

Taylor Lautner, one of the many breakout stars from the Twilight movie series, has the body of a God. Seriously. And he's only 17 years old. I'm not sure if it's illegal for me to ask this (I hope it's not), but...

Taylor Lautner: hit it or quit it? All I'm saying is that I haven't seen abs like that in a long time. Sigh.

In addition, Taylor is HANDS DOWN my crush of the day. He's adorable and I can't wait till he's 18 so I can move to Hollywood and become his BFF/BF. :)

Things I Love About Glee / Crush Of The Day: Mark Salling

If you haven't yet caught an episode of Glee, you must do so immediately. Go to Hulu and check it out--you will not regret it.

The show is magic. It follows the ups and downs of a high school glee club, complete with music video-like performances, musical theatre fierceness, hot guys, great belting, football (yeah, seriously), teen pregnancy, desperate housewives, etc., etc.

Here are my favorite things about the most recent episode:

1. Kurt's coming out scene with his dad... Super emotional, super real.

2. "Single Ladies" on the football field.

3. Will Schuster.

4. Lima, OH. "I don't want to be a Lima Loser!"

Crush of the Day: Eric Dane

OK... I'm never one to not take a compliment that is given to me, but when someone says something nice about my looks or whatever, I try to be humble about it. I can say, though, that one of my all time favorite compliments was when someone (David's friend Eric) told me that I resembled McSteamy (aka Eric Dane) from Grey's Anatomy. I mean, the man is gorgeous.

He has sex appeal, a beautiful (bot not overly-worked-out) body, sexy eyes, great hair, and, perhaps most importantly, an amazing smile. Sigh...

Crush of the Day: Joe Mauer

I'm coming out of left field for this one. Hahahahaha.

Tonight I had the privilege to watch the MLB Home Run Derby. It's this thing in baseball where they get some of the best batters together and throw them some easy pitches and see who can hit the most home runs. Pretty boring, really, especially because after it's over they show highlights of them hitting the home runs over and over again.

Well, I'm glad I watched because I became familiar with Joe Mauer, a catcher for the Minnesota Twins. It's funny, really, because my brother called him "Handsome Joe Mauer," and I immediately asked, "well, is he a pitcher or a catcher?" fully intending the double entendre. Without hesitation and with a bit of irony, Casey informed me that he is a catcher. Score one for the home team!

Upon further investigation, I found out that Joe has done some modeling work (duh) for Perry Ellis and has done some commercial work for ESPN and Pepsi, among others. In the sports world, he's a pretty big deal, too.

I mostly just think he's cute.

Celebrity gossip isn't really my thing...

...but I would sure love to teach Zac a few things about handling a boat!

He was somewhere in SoCal over the weekend taking some sailing lessons, but he should have been at Torch Lake with ME!!!

Crush of the Day: Christian Bale

I really don't think I need to say much about today's crush.  He's Batman, for goodness sake.

Christian Bale just does it for me.  Some of my favorite movies of his include Batman Begins (which I just finished watching), The Machinist (for which he lost like 40 pounds), The Prestige, American Psycho, and Newsies.

Sigh...

Dancers are people too!

I missed this on Dancing With The Stars this season, and I'm pissed!  Luckily for me (and you), YouTube has got the gold again, providing us with this important public service announcement (featuring a cute Derek Hough, a hot Mark Ballas, and a stunningly sexy Tony Dovolani).

Crush of the Day: Jason Statham

Netflix delivered a gem tonight: Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.  It's a great British heist film, complete with lots of foul language, booze, cigarettes, blood, guts, and Jason Statham.

Statham has been in the tabloids and gossip blogs lately for his role in The Transporter films; the third installment was released last year and people finally started noticing what a hunk he is.  He has appeared in other Guy Ritchie directed films including Snatch (one of my personal favorites) and Revolver.  Also, there are rumors circulating that he and Ritchie are collaborating on a top-secret movie-musical...  That sounds interesting.  Before acting, Statham modeled for French Connection.  

Anyhow, Jason Statham completely deserves the success he is receiving; not only is he insanely attractive, but he's a damn good actor.

Crush of the Day: Representative Aaron Schock

The youngest member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Aaron Schock (R-Peoria, IL) has a lot to be admired for: intelligence, a drive to succeed, respect from long-standing members of Congress, and amazing abs.

Yeah, he's a pretty conservative Republican, but oh well.  I can see past that.

Schock was born in Minnesota in 1981, making him 27 years old, and the first member of the U.S. Congress to be born in the 1980's.  His family moved to Peoria when he was young, and he attended college at nearby Bradley University.  After graduating, he quickly found a place in politics, becoming a school board president and later a member of the Illinois House or Representatives.

I'm not the only one who thinks Shock is hot...  The Huffington Post did a survey after the general elections in the fall and he was voted the "hottest (incoming) freshman" to the House.

Did I mention that Schock has really sexy abs (and a fierce upper body in general)?

Crush of the Day: Adam Lambert (believe it)

He's fierce.  I mean, he's really, really, really fierce.  

I have heard and read all the hype the last few weeks about this apparent American Idol super-contestant, but I wasn't sure what to believe.  I finally caught an episode of Idol tonight and all I can say is, well, the hype is true.  Adam Lambert is unlike any other contestant in American Idol's history; it's difficult to say exactly why, but it's some kind of unique combination of an incredible voice, wicked style, a great face, and a true knack for performing.  And a lot of eyeliner.

Anyhow, tonight he sang an electro-rock version of "Born To Be Wild," and it was a little reminiscent of David Cook's "Billie Jean" from last season, only his voice is on a totally different level.  The kid can croon, rock, give you soul, and hit some insane notes.  He has it all vocally, and that's not the only thing he's got...  Also fierce was when he went up to the back up singers and gave them some props and camera time--something that never happens on Idol. That shows that he truly understands the art; a singer is nothing without his band and his back-ups!  

I'm pretty sure he's going to win this season...  I hope so.  I can see him going places.  Like into my bedroom.

A sad day for Andy Roddick lovers...

The NY Post is reporting that tennis star Andy Roddick and his swimsuit model girlfriend Brooklyn Decker are getting hitched this weekend in Austin, TX.  They met a few years back when, after seeing her in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition, Andy had his agent get in touch with hers.  Wouldn't it be nice to just have your agent call someone else's agent when you wanted a date with him/her?  What a life.

Anyhow, I'm crushed.  

They are a pretty attractive couple, though.  Maybe getting married will give Andy a playing boost and he can win some tournaments again...

I just can't help it...

I watched the last few minutes of Dancing With The Stars tonight and was lucky enough to see Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke dance...  And, during their rehearsal footage, the cameras followed Gilles to a soccer field.  Apparently he was playing in a charity soccer game recently.

He's too hot to not write about.
